FREE KRISPY KREME AND DUNKIN’ DONUTS TOMORROW, JUNE 4!!!
Oh, this is the second best thing that happened today (the first being receiving a new copy of a very important book to me, to replace my lost copy). I can’t believe tomorrow is National Donut Day. I am trying to figure out if either place will recognize me, if I visit once an hour, on the hour, all day tomorrow?
HAPPY FREE DONUT DAY! CLICK HERE FOR DETAILS!!!
I wish there was an official Donut Day T-shirt.
Deep Church
Jim Belcher, the lead pastor at Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Newport Beach, California, took a look at the debate between “The Emergent Church” movement and “The Traditional Church” stance, and has proposed a third option, which he refers to as (the title of his book) Deep Church.
C.S. Lewis used the phrase “deep church” in his book Mere Christianity. By these words, he meant the body of believers who is committed to living out mere Christianity together.
According to Belcher’s website, a deep church will be known as “a missional church committed to both tradition and culture, valuing innovation in worship, arts and community but also creeds and confessions.”
