I really appreciate what Tim Challies is doing over at his site Chalies.com.

Challies is asking graphic designers to create some beautiful free calendar wallpaper for our computers each month.  The results have been fantastic.  I just downloaded a Grace-themed Wallpaper based off of a quote from McCheyne.

There are all sorts of options. Be sure to support this great idea by traveling over to Challies.com and choosing a new wallpaper for your computer, I think you will be delighted!

Whew!  Please take a few minutes to watch this video, the results of dear friends in Kenya choosing to live on $1 a day.  Their challenge to us is forthright:  Oh, how I would leave all and join them in Kenya tomorrow if I could:

Having experienced myself the tremendous beauty and danger of the lava flows and sulfur gasses of kilauea volcano in Hawaii, I found this photo essay of the Nyiragongo crater lava lake to be fascinating.  What an incredible experience, to be one of only a very few people to ever reach the rim of the very active, on-going creation of the earth itself.
